How may I request a guest account for an outside person?

To request a guest account for someone, please contact the IT Help Desk. You will need to provide the IT Help Desk with information about your guest and their need for D2L access:

  • the guest's first name
  • the guest's last name
  • the guest's email address
  • the course(s) to which the guest needs access
  • why the guest needs this access
  • for how long the guest will need access

For the security and privacy of our students, faculty, and staff, the Office of the Provost carefully reviews, and approves or denies, all requests for guest accounts.

† When a guest account is granted, it generally receives access through the end of an academic term, so a specific end date is not required. "Through the end of the current semester" or "until after Summer 2" will suffice. That said, if you need your guest's D2L access to end on a specific date, please provide that information.
