Since September 29, 2025, Millersville has had the YuJa Panorama Accessibility Platform integrated into the D2L Brightspace environment to help faculty improve the accessibility of digital media and course content. Instructors can use the accessibility reporting features of YuJa Panorama to help identify and fix potential accessibility issues in certain types of Content files and description fields in Assignments, Discussions and Announcements. Yuja Panorama will scan and return reports for any course in our D2L Brightspace environment that instructors access. This includes shells made 6 weeks ahead of a semester and shells from previous semesters regardless of "active" status for that shell.
Additionally, the platform allows students to generate alternate formats for some Content files types, to better meet individual accessibility needs.
INSTRUCTORS see Getting started with YuJa Panorama for instructors at support.yuja.com
Trigger Reprocess of a course to update report scores:
- Panorama accessibility scores for courses will not automatically adjust when files are deleted from the course.
- Instructors may trigger reprocessing of a course at any time to update accessibility scores for that course to ensure more accurate scores are displayed.
- System administrators will trigger reprocessing of all courses for individual semesters, at the end of that semester.
- "Refresh" and "Reprocess" are different functions. Refresh will process new files and edits made to courses but will not remove scoring of files that have been deleted from a course since initial processing. Reprocess will generate new scoring based only on what is currently in a course.
- Once begun, the "Reprocess Course” task may take up to 24 hours to complete, and until reprocessing finishes, content topic reports and course accessibility scores won’t be available in the course.
- Please see instructions for reprocessing courses in Panorama.
STUDENTS See Getting Started with Panorama for Students in D2L for instructions on how to use Panorama to access alternative formats in your D2L courses.
Additional guidance on using Panorama will be added as use cases are determined. Please direct questions through the IT Help Desk.
