How do I record audio feedback for my students' assignments?

On an assignment submission feedback page, instructors can use the Record Audio icon below the overall feedback field to quickly record feedback regarding a student submission. The recording made using this icon will appear for playback on a student's view of the Assignment folder feedback page, but will not appear for playback on the student's view of Grades even if the Assignment is associated with a grade item.

Alternatively instructors can record audio using the Insert Stuff> Add Video Note pathway from the HTML editor options within the Overall feedback field. Audio recordings left in a feedback field in this manner will appear for playback on a students view of the Assignment submission feedback and will also appear for playback on the students view of Grades if the Assignment folder is associated with a visible grade item.

Regardless of which pathway you use to add audio as feedback, the audio recordings will be stored in your Media Library and can be accessed and deleted from there. If you delete a recording from your Media Library it will be removed from all locations where it is shared in D2L.
