D2L, Inc. runs the Brightspace Community to foster collaboration between those using D2L—as instructors, as instructional designers, or as system administrators—at different institutions.
The Brightspace Community site includes:
- documentation
- videos
- forums
- a product idea exchange to propose improvements to D2L
- and more
To access some parts of the Brightspace Community, you'll need a free Brightspace Community account. See below for more on that.
The Brightspace Community does include information and resources for Brightspace products beyond those licensed by Millersville, as well as some D2L features not enabled at Millersville. Therefore, as you use the Community site, please review Millersville's Tool and Feature Availability.

Use the enrollment form on the Brightspace Community site to create an account.
Brightspace Community Account Usernames & Passwords
Usernames and passwords for the Brightspace Community are not the same as, or linked to, those used for Millersville's own systems.
Resetting Your Brightspace Community Account Password
You can reset your Brightspace Community account password from the Brightspace Community website.
As the Brightspace Community site is run by D2L, Inc., neither the Millersville University IT Help Desk nor the Teaching and Learning Team can provide assistance with account issues there.
