Follow the directions below to post notifications to the Logins and Services Directory page located at http://www.millersville.edu/logins.

Access Notification Feature

Log into Cascade, select "Logins" from the Cascade drop down menu to access the notification feature.

Create a New Notification

In the Cascade main menu select "New --> Notification"

Fill in all required fields.

  • System Name - Do not change this title.
  • End Date (optional) - If an end date and time is set, the notification will be automatically unpublished upon that timeframe and moved to the "notification --> archives" folder.
  • Title - Insert notification title.
  • Message - Insert short message.
  • More Info Link (optional) - If URL is set, a "More Info" button will displayed in the notification block.

Click on "Submit" button to save and preview the new notification.  The new asset will be saved in the "notification" folder.

Important for Notification to show

Select the new notification if it's not already selected, than click on the "Publish" tab and click "Submit".

Edit an Existing Notification

  1. Select the notification asset in the "notification" folder.
  2. Click on the "Edit" tab in the preview panel.
  3. Make changes and click "Submit".

Publish a Notification

  1. Select the notification asset in the "notification" folder.
  2. Click on the "Publish" tab in the preview panel.
  3. Click "Submit" to make changes live.

Delete and Unplublish a Notification

  1. Select the notification asset in the "notification" folder.
  2. Click on the "More --> Delete" tab in the preview panel.
  3. Click on "Submit" button to delete and unpublish.
