Why can't I find one or more of my courses?
Students
Please check the following:
- Have you officially registered for, or added, the course? more
If you have not yet officially registered for the course, or if you've received permission from the course instructor to add the course but not yet submitted that addition, then you will not be enrolled in the Desire2Learn course. Please submit your registration or addition.
- Does the course use Desire2Learn? more
Not all courses at Millersville use Desire2Learn. Your course instructor may have decided not to use Desire2Learn for your course or may be waiting until later in the semester to begin using Desire2Learn. Please contact your course instructor to confirm Desire2Learn is being used for your course.
- Have thirty-six hours passed since you registered for, or added, the course? more
Millersville's Banner student information system sends updated course registration data to Desire2Learn once a day. Due to data processing delays, it may take up to thirty-six hours from the time you register for, or add, a course for you to be enrolled into the course in Desire2Learn.
- Are you a student teacher? more
Banner does not send enrollment information to Desire2Learn for student teaching courses. Instead, your instructor will add you to the course. Please contact your instructor if you have questions about being enrolled in a student teaching Desire2Learn course.
- Are you a Master of Social Work student from Shippensburg? more
Enrollment information for Shippensburg MSW students in Millersville Desire2Learn classes comes from Shippensburg's, not Millersville's, student information system. This can create an additional delay. Please contact Millersville's Help Desk if you have questions or need assistance.
- Are you a Millersville faculty or staff member taking a Desire2Learn course? more
By default, the My Courses widget on your Desire2Learn My Home page displays the courses in which you are enrolled as an instructor. Click the "Student" tab at the top of the My Courses widget to see the courses in which you are enrolled as a student.
Faculty and Staff
Please check the following:
- Have you requested your course? more
Desire2Learn course shells are not automatically created for every course. You must request Desire2Learn course shells for your courses before they will be created in Desire2Learn.
- Have thirty-six hours passed since you requested your course? more
Millersville's Banner student information system sends updated course data to Desire2Learn once a day. Due to data processing delays, it may take up to thirty-six hours from the time you request a course in MAX for the shell to be created inside Desire2Learn.
Student teaching courses, and other special, non-MAX requests must be processed manually, so the time it takes for them to be completed varies. In most cases, they will be created by the end of the next business day.
