I have my work in MU Video, but assignments wants me to upload a file. What can I do?

First, double-check the instructions for your assignment. Course instructors know MU Video doesn't fit with assignment's need for a file upload, so most course instructors provide details on how they would like you to submit items from MU Video.

If you've double-checked your course, and you still cannot find information on how you should submit your MU Video media, ask your course instructor.

Most often though, course instructors want you to:

  1. in the comments area of the submission either:
    • embed your MU Video item using Insert Stuff
    • link to your MU Video item
  2. upload a dummy file just to satisfy the assignments tool

Just putting a link to your MU Video item in your dummy file is not sufficient though. You will also need to embed or link your media item in comments. For that, continue on below.
