The President's Commission on Gender and Sexual Diversity
The Millersville University President's Commission on Gender and Sexual Diversity (PCGSD) is to foster a university climate that promotes equity, inclusion, and affirmation for persons who are sexually and gender diverse (e.g.) are or are perceived to be lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender/transsexual, questioning/queer, intersex, allies/androgynous/asexual (LGBTQIA), etc.). The Commission actively supports policies, practices, and programs that pursue this goal for students, staff, faculty, administrators and the general public with respect to sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. | |
Safe Zone Program
The Safe Zone Program at Millersville University establishes a visible network of university employees who wish to be supportive of members of the campus community who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender/transsexual, queer/questioning, intersex, or allies/androgynous/asexual LGBTQIA. | |
MU Allies
MU Allies is the campus Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) for Millersville University. This is a group for all people regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity or expression. The group focuses on advocacy of LGBTQIA rights and issues, support for LGBTQIA students and a place for students to come together and socialize without fear of persecution or discrimination. Center for Counseling and Human Development
Located in Lyle Hall, the mission of the Center for Counseling and Human Development is to provide a supportive environment to meet the mental health needs of a diverse student body. | |
Health Services
Located in Witmer Building, this unit provides education and training by staff and peers on topics including relationships, sexually transmitted diseases, sexual assault, sexual orientation, and drug and alcohol use. | |
Threat Assessment Team
Millersville University has established a Threat Assessment Team (TAT@MU) to assist in addressing situations where students, faculty, or staff are displaying disruptive or threatening behaviors that potentially impede their own or others' ability to function successfully or safely. The process is designed to help identify persons whose behaviors potentially endanger their own or others' health and safety. | |
