View, remove, or add subscribers

Tip

Make the List Management Dashboard your start page for easier access to many list management features. See Customizing Listserv.

  • Click on "List Management" in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
  • Click on "Subscriber Management".
  • In the "Select List" dropdown, choose the list you wish to work with. The page will automatically refresh to show the list you have chosen. You will see a red tab that says "Single Subscriber" and an orange tab that says "Bulk Operations".
  • To view or remove a subscriber you'll use the "Examine or Delete Subscription" section of this page. To Add a subscriber, you'll use the "Add New Subscriber" section.

View a subscriber

  • Ensure that the "Single Subscriber" tab is selected (default).
  • In the "Name or Address" field, enter the subscriber's name (full or partial) or email address.
  • Click the "Search in <LISTNAME>" button. If no user matches your search criteria, "SCAN: No match." will be displayed.
  • The resulting page shows information about the subscriber: name, email address, date of subscription, and their settings.
  • If you need to update any of the subscriber's information, you may do so here. It is not usually necessary to do so.
  • If you make any changes, click the "Update" button.
  • You will be returned to the Subscriber Management page and the results of your action will be displayed, similar to the following example:

The name field for <SUBSCRIBER> in the <LISTNAME> list has been updated. Notification has been sent to <SUBSCRIBER>.

View all subscribers

  • Ensure that the "Single Subscriber" tab is selected (default).
  • Beneath the "Add New Subscriber" section is "Review List Members". You can choose "In Browser" to display the email addresses and names in a new window/tab, or you can choose "By Email" to have that information emailed to you.

Remove a subscriber

  • Ensure that the "Single Subscriber" tab is selected (default).
  • In the "Name or Address" field, enter the subscriber's name (full or partial) or email address.

  • If you do NOT want the subscriber you are deleting to be notified by email, select "Do Not Notify the User" for "Notification Options". The default is to notify the user.
  • Click the "Delete" button. If you wish to delete the subscriber from any list owned by you, you can click "Delete From All Lists" instead. Please use caution when using this option as it may have unintended consequences if you share ownership of a list with someone else!
  • You will be returned to the Subscriber Management page and the results of your action will be displayed, similar to the following example:

<EMAILADDRESS> has been removed from the <LISTNAME> list. Notification has been sent.
