Using Turnitin GradeMark independently of D2L

GradeMark may also be used within D2L. There it integrates with the dropbox tool. For information on using Turnitin GradeMark inside of D2L, please see the dropbox help in the D2L Resources wiki.

Using GradeMark outside of D2L requires more time and effort on the part of the instructor at the outset, but also provides earlier access to new GradeMark features and the ability to reuse rubrics between assignments and courses. To begin using GradeMark outside of D2L, you will need to:

  • create an account for yourself on Turnitin's website
  • create one or more classes there
  • create one or more assignments with your class or classes
  • enroll your students in your class or classes.

In order to complete the account creation process, you will need two secret pieces of information:

  • Millersville's account ID

  • Millersville's join password
