Students, faculty, and staff may contact the IT Help Desk for further assistance. Also by contacting the IT Help Desk, faculty and staff may request one-on-one training or assistance from the Instructional & Technology Support (I&TS) team.
D2L is the D2L Brightspace Learning Environment customized for Millersville University. D2L provides a centralized, robust, and secure solution for classes.
Turnitin provide tools for improving writing. Feedback Studio is integrated with D2L. Draft Coach is integrated with Word in Microsoft365.
Microsoft 365—also known as Office 365: includes Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web applications, is available for all Millersville University through an education license agreement. Users should access Microsoft 365 with their Millersville credentials.
Note
Using Microsoft 365 online is best utilized in the Microsoft Edge (preferred) or Google Chrome browser.
Users using desktop applications on a Mac or Windows PC will have different experiences, with more robust features of applications on a Windows device. If you are on a Millersville-supervised device, saved files on your computer (Word docs, Excel Spreadsheets, etc.) will 'sync' and create a copy of the file if you want to access it in OneDrive online.

Splashtop is an application that allows instructors annotate and share content via a variety of mobile devices.

GoReact is integrated with D2L to provide tools for video-based assignments.
iClicker (previously stylized as "i>clicker") is a classroom response system. iClicker allows all the students in a classroom to answer questions an instructor poses during a class session.
The Creative Cloud Suite includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other Adobe applications. These resources are available to Millersville faculty and staff through an educational license with Adobe.
To install the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite on your device using your Millersville account, please submit a Help Desk ticket requesting access.
Support
Students also have an opportunity to register for Adobe Creative Cloud access and should complete these steps for access. Student may visit the Digital Learning Studio (DLS) for help with using Creative Cloud Suite for coursework.

Zoom is a system available for hosting and participating in online meetings, presentations, and conferences related to synchronous or asynchronous coursework and University interests. All current Millersville University students, faculty, and staff have accounts within the system. Accounts are activated the first time users log in and authenticate into Zoom to manage meetings or enter their personal meeting room. Zoom resides at https://millersville.zoom.us/ and is accessible from any device with internet access.

The Instructional & Technology Support (I&TS) team supports the Millersville University community with the integration of appropriate technology into teaching and learning. A large portion of that role is providing support for the University's online learning management system: the D2L Brightspace Learning Environment. Additionally the team supports a growing number of instructional technologies adopted by the University including:
- classroom equipment
- iClicker student response system
- Zoom, a cloud based collaboration and meeting tool
I&TS strives to promote the intentional use of instructional technologies to align with active learning strategies while also meeting the instructional needs of campus members. The team works directly with faculty and staff and creates materials to support student use of the instructional technology systems adopted by our campus. Members of the I&TS team provide most training at point of need in 1:1, face-to-face sessions, but also lead department or cohort training upon request. Support may be provided on campus or using Zoom online meeting tool.
Support services Include
- Training and technical support for instructional technologies adopted by the University.
- Provision of instructional support materials for reference from the Millersville University wiki site.
- Partnering with faculty to design or redesign courses for technology enhanced, blended, or online delivery.
- Collaboration with academic departments and programs to support the growth of online courses and programs.
- Assisting faculty with adoption of technology alternatives to replace or augment traditional instruction and assessment methods.
- Consulting on technological solutions to meet the instructional objectives of campus members.
