Prior to the date of my session, how may I check that Blackboard Collaborate works from my computer?

These instructions assume you are using Collaborate and not Collaborate Ultra.

Please try joining the Collaborate configuration room.

If you're using a computer, and haven't already downloaded the Collaborate Launcher, you'll be prompted to do so. If you're using a mobile device, you'll be prompted to download the Collaborate app for Android, Kindle Fire, or iOS (iPhone and iPad).

You'll know you've successfully entered the configuration room when you see "Welcome to the Blackboard Collaborate Configuration Room", as depicted in the "Configuration Room Window" image below. People from many institutions use this same configuration room, and within it, each person is identified in the Participants Panel as "Test" followed by some random numbers. Your presence in the Participants Panel is distinguished by the notation "(You)".
