How do I change the number of people whose webcam video appears at the same time during a Collaborate session?

You will not be able to access Collaborate or Collaborate Ultra after June 30, 2018.

PASSHE's contract with Blackboard, Inc. for Collaborate and Collaborate Ultra ends on June 30, 2018. After June 30, 2018, you will not be able to access Collaborate rooms, Collaborate Ultra rooms, or any archived recordings you have in Collaborate or Collaborate Ultra.

These instructions assume you are using Collaborate and not Collaborate Ultra.

These instructions assume you are in Blackboard Collaborate.

To set the simultaneous cameras limit:

  1. Open the Tools menu.
  2. Within the Tools menu, open the "Video" sub-menu.
  3. Choose "Maximum Simultaneous Cameras..."
  4. In the "Maximum Simultaneous Cameras" window that opens:
    1. Move the slider to the maximum number of simultaneous cameras you wish to allow during the session.
    2. Click the "OK" button.

Please note:

  • The maximum value for simultaneous cameras is 6.
  • Lowering the simultaneous cameras limit benefits participants using slow Internet connections.
