How may I request a guest account for an outside person?

To request a guest account for someone, please contact the IT Help Desk. You will need to provide the IT Help Desk with:

  • the guest's first name
  • the guest's last name
  • a working email address for the guest
  • the last day the guest will need access to D2L

Information Technologies requires a working email address for each guest because D2L's password setup process for guest users is initiated by an automated email message. Non-Millersville email addresses are fine, with the exception of Comcast (@comcast.net) email addresses. Comcast email accounts do not work with D2L.

When providing the date through which a guest will need access to D2L, a specific day is acceptable, but not required. Normally, guests are given access through the end of academic terms, so end dates along the lines of "until the end of Spring 2015" or "through the end of Summer 3 2015" are fine.
