Collaborate Ultra information for Moderators

These instructions assume you have already logged in to D2L and entered the course in which you wish to work.

These instructions also assume that you are using the Google Chrome browser and that your instructor has decided to use Collaborate Ultra.

 How do I share my microphone and camera?

Click on the "share microphone" and "share video" on the bottom of the screen

 How do I share a powerpoint?

Users who record sessions in Collaborate Ultra should be advised that not all content is recorded immediately. Please see the Improving recordings of Collaborate Ultra Sessions page for more information.

 

  1. Click on the "Open Collaborate" button on the bottom right of the session window
  2. Click on the "Share Content" button
  3. Click on "Share Files"
  4. Click on "Add files here"
  5. Select the presentation you wish to share and click on open.
  6. The presentation will need to be processed by Collaborate before it can be shared with attendees. The amount of time it takes will be determined by how large the presentation is
  7. Once the presentation is done processing click the "Share Now" button to share your presentation
  8. Click on a slide to begin at that slide
 How do I start a recording?

Click on the "Session Menu" button on the top left of the screen

 

Click on "Start Recording" to begin your recording


Click on "Session Menu" and "Stop Recording" to end the recording.

 

 How do I get a whiteboard to write on?
  1. Click on the "Open Collaborate Panel" button on the bottom right
  2. Click on the "Share Content" button
  3. Click on "Share Blank Whiteboard" to share a blank whiteboard
