How can I set my connection speed?
While Connecting to a Session
As Blackboard Collaborate starts up, and connects you to your session, it may ask you to choose a connection speed. Choose the appropriate speed.
If you check the box for "Don't show this dialog again", Collaborate won't ask your connection speed for that computer again—unless Collaborate suspects you're connecting from a new location. Each time you change locations, Collaborate will ask again because your new location may require a different connection speed.
During a Session
While you're in a Collaborate session, you can change your connection speed:
- Open the Edit menu.
- Choose "Preferences..."
- In the left column of the Preferences window that opens, scroll down to " Session".
- Under " Session", choose "Connection".
- Change "Connection Speed" as necessary to an appropriate speed.
- Leave "Prompt for speed" set to "When Location Changes".
