How do I access a Collaborate Ultra session using my mobile device?

End-of-Life Warning

You will not be able to access Collaborate or Collaborate Ultra after June 30, 2018.

PASSHE's contract with Blackboard, Inc. for Collaborate and Collaborate Ultra ends on June 30, 2018. After June 30, 2018, you will not be able to access Collaborate rooms, Collaborate Ultra rooms, or any archived recordings you have in Collaborate or Collaborate Ultra.

The Bb Student app enables you to join sessions in Collaborate with the Ultra experience from your mobile device.

  1. To begin, access the Collaborate session link provided by your moderator by opening it in a web browser.
  2. You will then be given a prompt that will differ depending upon your device
    1. For Android, you might need to tap "Join session using Bb Student."
    2. For iOS, you might be prompted to Open in Bb Student if this is your first time launching. Tap Open.

      You will need to disable "Private Browsing Mode" within Safari in order to access Collaborate Ultra.

    3. If you don't already have the Bb student app, you will be directed to the appropriate app store to download the app. After installing the app, tap the Collaborate link provided by the moderator again and tap on "Open in Bb Student"
  3. Type in your name and then tap on "Join"
  4. You can then begin using the app
