We are currently experiencing a problem with D2L that is preventing all use of the system. Technicians at D2L, Inc. are currently working to determine the cause of the problem. An update will be provided by 11 a.m. Eastern.

Problem Description

Attempting to log in to D2L results in an "Internal Error" message.

Fix or Workaround

None at this time.

D2L Will Be Unavailable

  • Saturday, 9 May 2015, from 12:01 a.m. to 12 noon Eastern for a system upgrade
  • Sunday, 10 May 2015, from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. Eastern for scheduled maintenance

D2L System Upgrade

From 12:01 a.m. to 12 noon Eastern, on Saturday, 9 May 2015, technicians at D2L, Inc. will be upgrading our D2L system from version 10.3.0 Service Pack 16 to version 10.4.10. During the upgrade, the D2L system will be completely unavailable.

This should be the last D2L update to require an extended downtime or disrupt finals week and grading. With this upgrade to version 10.4.10, our D2L system moves to continuous delivery, which will bring small, monthly updates that require no downtime.

The shift to continuous delivery will be the largest change brought by this system upgrade and the latest version of D2L. For details on the other, smaller changes that will come with the upgrade, please see: Monthly Update Notification - Changes Effective May 9th 2015

Scheduled Maintenance

From 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. Eastern, on Sunday, 10 May 2015, technicians at D2L's hosting facility will perform necessary computer and network hardware upgrades. During the maintenance period, the D2L system will be completely unavailable.

No patches or updates to D2L are planned for this maintenance period. Instead, this monthly, scheduled downtime allows D2L's data center staff time to perform necessary hardware upgrades and maintenance.
