According to iParadigms, LLC, their technicians resolved the problems with the Turnitin system by the end of Monday, 5 January 2015. All Turnitin tools and features are now working normally.

The system is recovering from an earlier intermittent service disruption. Instructors may still see errors within the iPad app.

The issue with the Document Viewer has been mostly resolved. There may be some intermittent slowness as the service recovers.

iParadigms have provide more information. The Turnitin document viewer is affected by this issue, and when you attempt to open an assignment in the Turnitin document viewer:

  • You may experience a delay before the document appears.
  • You may encounter one or more error messages.

Original Problem Description

At this time, you may experience problems when attempting to grade materials using Turnitin.

At 10:41 a.m. Eastern, on Monday, 5 January 2015, iParadigms, LLC, makers of Turnitin Plagiarism Detection and GradeMark, advised that a problem with the Turnitin service is affecting grading:

Turnitin is currently experiencing an intermittent issue that impacts grading. We are working to resolve this and will provide updates.

iParadigms technicians are working to resolve this issue.

Other parts of the D2L system, including non-Turnitin grading features, are unaffected by this problem.
