From 12 noon to 12 midnight Eastern time, on Saturday, July 26, the all Turnitin tools will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance by the Turnitin company, iParadigms, LLC. The Turnitin tools both within Desire2Learn and at Turnitin.com will be nonfunctional during the maintenance.
The maintenance period will only affect Turnitin tools, specifically Plagiarism Detection and GradeMark. Within Desire2Learn, these tools are deeply integrated into the Dropbox tool, so during the maintenance period, significant portions of the Desire2Learn Dropbox tool will not function. The remainder of the Desire2Learn system will not be affected by this Turnitin maintenance.
Please set Dropbox assignment due dates to fall prior to, or several hours after, the scheduled maintenance window. Do not schedule any assignments to end just before, during, or just after the maintenance period.
If you have students using Plagiarism Detection or GradeMark directly on Turnitin.com, please exercise the same care in scheduling the due dates of your Turnitin assignments.
