Blog from December, 2013

On the morning of Thursday, December 26, from approximately 8 to 10 a.m. Eastern, the wiki server that holds the Desire2Learn Resources Space will be offline for scheduled maintenance. During the maintenance, the Desire2Learn Resources Space will be unavailable. The Millersville University homepage and the Desire2Learn system itself will remain online during the maintenance period.

For the duration of the wiki maintenance, Desire2Learn links on the Millersville University homepage will change to point directly to the Desire2Learn welcome page. Therefore, the Desire2Learn system will remain accessible to students, faculty, and staff. However, the guides and help information the Desire2Learn Resources Space provides will be temporarily unavailable.

Some links to the Desire2Learn Resources Space, ones not located on the Millersville University homepage, will not be redirected during the wiki outage. Attempting to use these links during the wiki maintenance period will not work. Please use the Desire2Learn links on the homepage on Thursday morning.

This change was originally scheduled for Sunday, December 15, but technical issues prevented it from happening that day. The change has been rescheduled for Sunday, December 22.

Desire2Learn's upgrade team has completed their work updating the Desire2Learn system from 10.0 to 10.2. You may once again log into and use Desire2Learn.

Now that the upgrade is complete, Millersville's Instructional & Technology Support team will be updating configuration settings in the Desire2Learn system to account for changes and new features in 10.2. The system will remain online and useable during this configuration work, but you may notice small adjustments being made to navigation bars, the My Home page, and other parts of the Desire2Learn system. The Instructional & Technology Support team should have all configuration work complete by 10:15 p.m. Eastern.

Though no errors were encountered during the upgrade, several steps of the upgrade process took longer than expected. Desire2Learn's upgrade team have expressed their regrets that the upgrade ran longer than had been estimated.
